Over twenty five original compositions performed and recorded, including numerous works for gamelan instruments in combination with Western instruments

2014: Premiere of “Inquiline” for chamber orchestra by the New Century Players at Roy O. Disney Hall

2014: Mid-Residency Recital at the California Institute of the Arts including the premiere of three new chamber works

2013: Premiere of “Prophecy” by the Santa Cruz Guitar Orchestra at Kuumbwa Jazz Center

2013: Premiere of new original works for fretless guitar and guitar with electronics at the Krestchmer Hall at UCSC (received the Dean’s and Chancellor’s award for this performance)

2012: Premiere of “Motions” for piano trio at the UC Santa Cruz Composers Showcase

2014: Performed on fretless guitar, sarons, and bonang with Kyai Doro Dasih; performed on reong with CalArts Balinese Gamelan Burat Wangi

2013: First guitar at the premiere of “Strum” by Phil Collins for guitar orchestra at the Santa Cruz New Works Festival

2013: Performed on fretless guitar with the UCSC Eurasian Ensemble

2012: Performed on Baroque guitar with the Santa Cruz Early Music Consort

2010-2013: Regular performances with the UCSC Sundanese Gamelan

2010-2013: Three years as the principal guitarist of the Santa Cruz Guitar Orchestra and the Santa Cruz Guitar Quartet

2010: Performed as soloist for premiere of “Angin Listrik” (for two electric guitars and Balinese gamelan) by Bill Alves at the Pacific Rim Festival

2007-2009: Three years as lead guitarist and vocalist of Southern California extreme metal band, Midnight Requiem, including regular performances across the Los Angeles area

 

Recording Experience

Recording Technician – California Institute of the Arts                                     Sep 2013 – Present

I work on a part-time basis for the Herb Alpert School of Music. In this position, I set up microphones and record many of the concerts held at the school. I also occasionally run the live video stream.

Recording Technician (Intern) – “Music At Menlo” Chamber Music Festival                 July 2013 – Sep 2013

I worked under six-time Grammy award-winning recording engineer, Dahong Seetoo, to record, edit, mix and distribute approximately fifty concerts over the course of one month. For most concerts, I worked as the sole engineer. For major festival events, I worked with Dahong to create the best possible recordings.

Recording Technician – UCSC Music Department                                            Sep 2010 – June 2013

I worked on a part-time basis for the UCSC Music Department. In this position, I set up microphones and recorded many of the concerts held at UCSC. I also worked to maintain the archives of concerts from previous years.
